This is the second most searched question in the world. So lets answer it.Planes are a marvel of engineering.the first plane being invented by the Wright brothers in 1903.Modern day planes can carry up to 129 000 – 190 000 lbs. With all that weight how do they fly.Well planes use a combination of advanced technology. I will explain it as simple as possible. So the plane uses lift to get off the ground and to create lift you need 2 things.Speed and control surfaces.A control surface is panel’s on the wings and tail of the plane.that rotate.

All control surfaces have a use in the plane as shown in the image above. So to sum it all up a plane uses all there control panels alter the passing air. This means the when the plane wants to do something a panel will adjust its position to change the wind direction. This creates lift.As shown in the following image.

If you did not understand the image above basically it shows that the wind causes a lift or decent effect when angled due to the drag the wind causes hitting the surface. So all in all it is just the surface panels and drag that causes the plane to fly.
