In order to understand chemotherapy we first need to understand cancer itself.Cancer is created when a cell has a not so rare gene that awakens. What i mean by “not so rare” is that you could have had cancer multiple time today but your body prevented it from growing and killed it.But that gene always lurks waiting for a reaction to wake it up.Once awoken it gets to work, taking over the nearest cells.Once it has control it uses the cell to order the body around. It usually orders the body to create new veins to supply itself with nutrients. After awhile the body notices something theres no nutrients. So it cuts off the supply to the cancer cells, but its to late its grown and adapted to your immune system. This is the worst case scenario and is what makes cancer so deadly.
Now Your immune system is alerted and is having a war that you probably don’t even know about.Since cancer is so adaptable it learns how your body fights and learns how to shut it down. Now this is where chemotherapy comes in.You notice how tired you are and that a small part of your body has a white spot.So you visit a doctor and do a blood test.Around 2-3 days later your diagnosed with cancer about stage 2.
Chemotherapy now comes to play. With chemotherapy your body and cancer cells die or get injured but mostly the cancer cells.Since the cancer cells are damaged from the high radiation levels,it cant adapt as fast. This gives your immune systems the best chance they got at killing cancer.Your one of the lucky few that survived.
